Flameworking 101: Boro at Diablo Glass School

Course Fee: One-Day session: $130 Two-Day session: $270 Class size limit: 9 This hands-on flame-working course covers the basics of creating glass objects in the flame of a stationary propane/oxygen torch and progresses into methods of decoration. After a discussion of studio set-up and safety, demonstrations will introduce students to the use of heat and gravity to shape molten glass. Demonstrations will alternate with working time. Techniques for applying color and manipulating the form will be practiced. No experience necessary. Return students welcome. All materials included.
