Post Time:Jun 21,2012Classify:Industry NewsView:163

Every year, the Rockford Register Star in Rockford, Ill., publishes a list of local promising youth. Called the “Young American” award, the designation honors high school seniors who are predicted to be successful.

In 1972, soon-to-be West Rockford High School graduate Mark Liston was named on the list. The newspaper said:

“Mark W. Liston, 17, son of Mrs. Alyne Liston, 2619 Custer Ave., has worked for the arthritis, heart, cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy foundations while a student at West High School. Active in sports, he was editorial editor of his school’s paper and a member of Junior Achievement. He hopes to become a grade school teacher.”

Forty years later, he isn’t a school teacher, but he is successful. Liston is the current President of Glass Doctor.
