PELLA, IOWA — May 1, 2012 — New protective glass film from Pella Windows and Doors is an extra safeguard to help ensure that its wood windows and patio doors will arrive at the jobsite in the same condition as when they left the factory, and stay protected throughout the construction process.

• Added protection, durability – Whether you install the windows and patio doors the day they arrive from the factory, or if you need to temporarily store them, the glass film provides a barrier against dust, mud, mortar, paint and other jobsite debris throughout the entire construction process.
• Easy to remove, leaves no residue – The protective film can be easily removed from the glass by hand, with no extra chemicals needed. And it won’t leave a sticky residue behind, which means less time spent cleaning the glass.

*Products with spandrel glass, entry doors and custom solutions products with small or complex applied grille patterns or glass designs will not have Pella’s protective glass film. Pella’s protective film is not intended for masking purposes when painting or staining the frames. There will be a œ” to 1” gap between the film and the frame of the window or patio door.
