Software Conference Opens in Ohio

Software developer Fenetech opened its 11th Annual Users Conference in Aurora, Ohio, with a “Back to Basics” theme. The event attracted approximately 100 users of the company’s software in both the glass and fenestration industries.

“We did the first conference just about 11 years ago,” said company president Ron Crowl, “and we didn’t have any idea if anyone would come” he said of the conference which has now become a must for users of the company’ many software programs.

Crowl named a number of new companies, mostly glass fabricators, in attendance for the first time, including a company from Estonia.

He also paid homage to three companies that have been in attendance all three years. These include Sunrise Windows, Vista and Intigral.

The morning opening included an update on all the features new to the Fenevision Neo software.? The company is also formally introducing three new products this week: the Fenevision Project Module which lets users manage project based orders; the Optipack Module that lets the user manage their customer’s delivery sequence and a Shower Door Designer Program for shower door manufacturers.

Interfaces with Rjukan Bender, Win IG and Bystronic have also been enhanced with 22 additional shapes mapped for Bystronic. New cutting interfaces in the Opti program are available for Billco, Lisec, CMS and Turomas.
