- Order for 12 MW underscores the growth strategy in the Mediterranean region
- Further collaboration planned with partner GreenTops
Mainz, March 15 2012 - SCHOTT Solar has received a large order for 12 MW of photovoltaic modules from Israel. The customer is GreenTops, one of SCHOTT Solar's key partners in the Mediterranean region. GreenTops is a turnkey PV solution provider and sees itself as market leader in Israel as concerns the installation of solar systems.
"The order underscores our close relationship with GreenTops and our mutual confidence in the growth prospects that Israel’s solar market offers. SCHOTT Solar and GreenTops have been working together closely for four years and would now like to take their relationship to the next level," explains Swantje Oldörp, Head of Sales and Business Development, Emerging Markets at SCHOTT Solar.
The first containers of PERFORM POLY 240 modules will be shipped very shortly. GreenTops has also ordered more high-performance modules like the new SCHOTT PERFORM MONO 2xx. These are some of the latest developments with substantially higher energy efficiency. The new products will be available in the second quarter of 2012.
"We firmly believe in the quality of SCHOTT Solar’s products. We intend to offer our customers only the very best quality. So the modules we receive from SCHOTT Solar are really the only logical choice," explains Moti Avni, CEO of GreenTops.
