Market-leading EcoClear triple-glazed sealed units from Solaglas will be on display at Ecobuild 2012.
On stand N310 (North Hall), the Saint-Gobain Group company will be showcasing its complete exterior and interior glass solutions range which have a key role to play in the creation of low energy buildings. This will include EcoClear with SGG PLANITHERM inside - the thermally insulating glass technology, which delivers 0.8 W/m2K U-value windows for cost-effective construction of low and zero carbon homes.
Solaglas marketing director Mike Butterick said, "Triple glazed windows offer optimum performance in terms of energy efficiency and value for money, making a home more comfortable and affordable – particularly at a time of rising energy prices. This is an important issue in the social housing market where tenants may suffer from fuel poverty.
“EcoClear triple-glazed sealed units are amongst our latest solutions which further our ambition to take glazing to the next dimension by changing it into an active building component.
“Exciting new products on display at Ecobuild will also include low-iron acoustic back-painted glass and fire-resistant glazing, a new thin film BIPV (building integrated photovoltaics) glazing system and Electrochrome glass, which provides effective solar shading control at the flick of a switch. These innovations are the result of our £100m R&D investment and are part of our 'fabric first' agenda.”
