Qualified auto glass technicians will have the opportunity to obtain two of the auto glass industry's most respected, nonprofit-sponsored certifications during Auto Glass Week November 5-8 in Las Vegas for free.

The Independent Glass Association (IGA) will allow qualified installation technicians to sit for the IGA Auto Glass Technician Certification exam at no additional cost above conference registration fees - a $150 value - during the 2008 IGA Marketing Conference. IGA Auto Glass Technician Certification is an AGRSS-registered training program and is, in part, based on the industry-recognized and ANSI-approved AGRSS Standard. It is the only certification program offered by a nonprofit association to be AGRSS-registered. The IGA certification exam is scheduled for Saturday, November 8, a the conclusion of the marketing conference.

The National Windshield Repair Association (NWRA) will also allow qualified attendees of the 2008 NWRA Annual Conference to take the NWRA-certified repair technician testing for no additional cost - a $95 value. The NWRA Repair of Laminated Glass Certification Program is designed to certify laminated glass repair technicians within the margins of the ANSI-approved Repair of Laminated Glass Standard (ROLAGS). The NWRA certification training and testing will be held on November 7 at the end of the day.

Auto Glass Week will take place November 5-8 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas and is co-located with the International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE). Auto Glass Week includes four separate events: the IGA Marketing Conference, NWRA Annual Conference and the Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standards Council Inc. (AGRSS), as well as auto glass competitions, social events and a trade show at Mandalay Bay Convention Center.

Attendees to any Auto Glass Week conferences will also be provided admission to the NACE Expo; the Auto Glass Technician Olympics; and the Walt Gorman Memorial Windshield Repair Olympics at no additional charge.
