Scotland’s Official Whisky Glass celebrates five million units with an enhanced glass and a new livery

(Drinks Media Wire). Glencairn Crystal, the company behind the Glencairn Glass, Scotland’s official whisky glass – are re-launching the Glencairn Glass with a new livery and a brand new version of the glass made from the finest crystal.

Celebrating its five millionth glass and following an extensive period of consultation and research the already successful glass has been re-branded to better reflect its unique positioning while at the same time moving to a crystal glass to give a finer and more premium presentation.

The Glencairn Glass is an innovative first. Developed specifically to enhance the taste and enjoyment of Scotland’s national drink and working with the whisky world Glencairn Crystal has now established the Glencairn Glass as THE glass for whisky.

The commercial success of the glass over the last few years, with orders and endorsements from all the major industry players, has helped Glencairn Crystal pick up a raft of awards including the Queens Award for Enterprise: Innovation, the National Business Award for Innovation and the Marketing Excellence Award for Best Marketing Strategy.

Representing a major investment from Glencairn Crystal the new glass will be backed by a worldwide communication campaign to support this new initiative and a global distribution agreement with Stolzle – one of the world’s leading manufacturers and distributors of fine crystal glass.
