A recent report from the U.S. Census Bureau shows a median salary of $33,300 for automotive glass installers and repairers. The report, which was released in August 2008 and is titled the "Income, Earnings, and Poverty Data from the 2007 American Community Survey," shows a margin of error of +/-$4,512.
Likewise, the report shows a median national salary of $36,000 for automotive body and related repairs (with a margin of error of +/-$1,202) and $36,000 for automotive service technicians and mechanics (+/-$745).
The report is compiled from the American Community Survey, which includes about 3 million addresses across the United States and Puerto Rico, and is conducted in every county throughout the nation.
The information was collected between January and December 2007, and those interviewed were asked about income for the previous 12-month period.
