An auto glass plant, solely invested by Asahi Glass, held the cornerstone-laying ceremony in Nanhai yesterday.
As the rapid development of China automotive industry in recent years, Asahi speeded up its expansion in China market and set up a solely owned company in Nanhai, Asahi Auto Glass (Foshan) Co., Ltd.
Asahi Auto Glass (Foshan) Co., Ltd. is the second glass plant of Asahi Glass in China after the Qinhuangdao plant, mainly producing laminated glass, tempered glass and auto glass for maintenance. Since it was put into production from March, the company has an annual capacity of 1 million. Most of products will be offered for the three Japanese automotive manufacturers and some other automotive manufacturers in South China.
According to the company, the second phrase of the project will be invested 44,325,000 USD.
