The American Architectural Manufacturers Association announced a search contest for the oldest in-service window, door or skylight bearing an AAMA air-water-structural certification label, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the AAMA Certification Gold Label.“It would be an honor for a manufacturer to be recognized for the oldest in-service window, door or skylight, as it is a testament to the product’s longevity as well as AAMA’s Certification Program,” said Rich Rinka, AAMA's certification manager, in an AAMA press release. “We are encouraging manufacturers to share the contest information with homeowners, dealers and distributors. In return, AAMA will work with the product manufacturer to promote the winning certification label.”
Contest DetailsTo be eligible for entry, contestants must submit three photos: one of the label, one of the product and one of the building, along with the entry form, to AAMALabelContest@aamanet.org. AAMA will award three prizes: $300 for first place, $150 for second place and $50 for third place. The contest runs from June 15 to September 15, and winners will be announced at the AAMA Fall Conference in Baltimore, October 27-30, where the product manufacturers will be recognized.
