Aldora Merges with Coastal Glass Distributors

Aldora Aluminum and Glass Products Inc. is merging with Coastal Glass Distributors Inc.Under the agreement,Aldora and Coastal will operate independently while sharing common ownership. Both companies' senior management will continue in their current roles and participate as owners, according to a July 29 release. The new entity will be headquartered in Miramar, Fla.

“This transaction will combine the products and services of two...glass and aluminum distribution locations on the East Coast," said Leon Silverstein, CEO, Aldora Aluminum and Glass Products, in the release. "The resulting organization will provide a complete glass and aluminum product line to customers from South Florida to Tennessee. We look forward to the synergies and growth that these two companies can generate.”

Coastal’s Charleston, S.C., operation and Aldora's Miramar operation will work togetherclosely to integrate products and distribution to the expanded geography, according to the release. Coastalwill offer Aldora’s aluminum storefront and doors, and Aldora will offer Coastal’s line of glass products. Rick Silverstein will supervise the Aldora operations, while Trent Hartley, Joel Fletcher and Jim Green will continue to manage Coastal Glass.

The merging companies are all part of a three-piece transaction put together by Silverstein. The third component involvesSMI Aluminum Systems and Architectural Glass Products. Formerly a subsidiary of Aldora, SMI will now officially operate asAldora Aluminum and Glass Products Inc.
