The $200 million U.S. corporate headquarters of Hyundai Motor America is nearing completion as installation of final perimeter panels of exterior glass on the project's main office tower is underway, according to an April 19 release from Gensler, the project architect. Rather than using ordinary reflective glass, Hyundai is using custom-designed large insulating glass units specially glazed to provide optimal energy efficiency, as well as exceptional visual clarity from both inside and outside the building. Construction of the new building is expected to be completed by the end of 2013, according to the release.
