Frank Heinricht appointed chairman of the board of management at Schott AG

The supervisory board of Schott AG has unanimously appointed Dr. Frank Heinricht as chairman of the board of management. Heinricht, 50, is currently chairman of the board of management of Heraeus Holding GmbH.

"We are pleased that we were able to recruit Dr. Heinricht, an outstanding manager, as the new chairman of the board of management," said Dr. Dieter Kurz, chairman of Schott AG's supervisory board, in a release. "His experience in managing a company with a complex portfolio makes him ideally suited to lead Schott. He has a proven track record in expanding the market presence of a global company, particularly in Asia. We are confident that the necessary reorientation at Schott is in excellent hands with him."

Heinricht will take office on June 1, 2013.
