Aldora officials announced the glass and metal fabricator will open a new satellite branch in Altamonte Springs, Fla., in January 2013. The new location will distribute products throughout Florida, according to a company release.
“We are extremely pleased to add a facility to central Florida," said Rick Silverstein, president of Aldora and its aluminum manufacturing affiliate, SMI Aluminum Systems.“The expansion into the Orlando location has been part of our strategic plan to better serve the Florida market. ”
Industry veteran Jay Kaplan will oversee the facility as branch manager. “I am extremely excited to be a part of Aldora’s expansion," Kaplan said in the release. "To have a distribution facility backed up by the resources out of Aldora’s Miramar location will create a remarkable range of service to the area glaziers.”
Aldora will offer tempered glass products, laminated glass, insulating glass, shower doors, all-glass entrances and glazing supplies. Additionally, the company will provide impact and non-impact entrance doors and storefront manufactured by SMI Aluminum Systems.
