The Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance will hold its annual Performance and Innovation in Insulating Glass Educational Seminar, September 11 and 12, in conjunction with GlassBuild America: The Glass, Window & Door Expo, September 12-14, in Las Vegas.
"Our program has had great attendance over the years, but we wanted to make it a no-brainer to attend," says Margaret Webb, IGMA executive director. "By co-locating with GlassBuild America, attendees can plan to spend one extra day in Vegas and make an immediate impact in their fabrication business."
The two-day seminar offers participants a “do’s and don’ts” best practices approach for the manufacturing of quality insulating glass units, officals state. Day one of the seminar will focus on components, special handing and fabrication, while day two will feature presentations on glass breakage, glass selection for energy efficiency and post-fabrication considerations. Day two will conclude with a presentation on how to conduct a forensic investigation in the event of a failure.
Attendees also will receive access to IGMA technical documents, including the Quality Manual, Glazing Guidelines and the Preventing IG Failures Manual.
