A worker at theHartung Glass IndustriesWilsonville, Ore., location was seriously injured the morning of August 20, according to a same-day report from Koin Local 6 News. Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue Spokesman Brian Barker told Koin that the man received a "severe laceration to the neck."
According to a Hartung spokesperson, the hospital announced that, at this time, the employee is in stable condition and is expected to recover.
"All safety procedures and equipment were being used," the spokesman reported. "A lite of glass broke unexpectedly and a portion cut one of two employees working a cutting table. Hartung plant employees applied emergency medical procedures that greatly helped reduce the injury. Hartung wishes the employee a speedy recovery.”
