With the theme, "Fenestration: A World of Change," the Building Enclosure Technology and Environment Council Symposium willtake place Monday, January 7, 2013, at theWashington Marriott at Metro Center in Washington, D.C. The event will be held aspart of Building Innovation 2013, the National Institute of Building Sciences Annual Conference and Expo.
During the BETEC Symposium, leading experts will share the latest information available on a variety of fenestration technology and performance topics, according to a release. Presenters will include glass industry leaders Steve Selkowitz of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory; Jim Larsen, technology lead for Cardinal Glass Industries; and Rich Walker, director of the American Architectural Manufacturers Association.
Additional topics will include fenestration retrofits, fenestration impacts on utility planning and advanced shading technologies, according to event organizers.
Online registration for the BETEC Symposium opens September 1, 2012.
