Judge dismisses PPG lawsuit against Jeld-Wen

A judge in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania dismissed PPG Industries' lawsuit against Jeld-Wen alleging breach of a license agreement.Both parties requested July 18 that the suit be dismissed with prejudice.

According to PPG's original complaint, PPG granted Jeld-Wen rights and licenses to patent applications for an insulating unit with low-thermal conducting edge, and for all components required for the fabrication of the unit. PPG alleged that Jeld-Wen "failed to make its required periodic royalty payments," with damages exceeding $75,000.
