Saint-Gobain Containers Inc. will pay more than $2.2 million in civil penalties and install emissions controls at furnaces, including two furnaces in Milford, under an agreement with the federal government and 10 states to settle environmental allegations. Saint-Gobain Containers will pay $1.15 million to the United States and $1.1 million to states and agencies, including $100,000 to Massachusetts, according to the office of state Attorney General Martha Coakley, according to a Jan. 22 Telegram.com report.
