Project news: Infinity Tower construction underway

Construction is moving forward on the Infinity Tower in Brisbane, Australia, and developers have chosen to protect its 223,900 square feet of glass by applying EnduroShield to the facade during the construction process, according to a June 28 EnduroShield release. The EnduroShield application is underway in the glass curtain-wall factory, according to the release.

Once installation begins on site, EnduroShield will protect against the harsh conditions during construction such as splatter and runoff from concrete and cement that can lead to etching and pitting from the lime reacting with the glass, necessitating costly replacement, according to company officials.

Due for completion in 2014, the Infinity Tower will be the largest residential tower in Brisbane, Enduroshield reports.
