Positive fenestration market trends outlined in AAMA keynote

Michael Collins, managing director of the building products group of Jordan, Knauff & Co., outlined several positive trends for the fenestration industry during his keynote address at the American Architectural Manufacturers Association 2012 Summer Conference in Oak Brook, Ill.

"A lot of companies ... are telling me they are up 15 to 20 percent, and I expect that [percentage] to be higher in the next few years," Collins said, according to a June 12 AAMA release. Industry bankruptcies and closures have "dropped substantially" from 2008 to 2010, and plant expansions have been balanced by closures, he said, according to the release.
