Thomas D. Young, a lifetime industry representative and longtime employee of Stone & Glazing Consulting passed away May 20, after a battle with cancer. Young joined Stone & Glazing Consulting in 1998, first as office manager for the Houston office, and then as senior consultant. He retired in 2007, but continued to provide consulting services on numerous projects.
Young began his career in the glass and glazing industry in 1956 when he joined Kawneer Co. He worked at Kawneer until 1972. Young then served in numerous roles, including project manager, designer and facility manager, for PPG industries, from 1973 to 1987. He also served as general manager of West Coast operations for Olden & Company, and worked as project manager on the new Denver International Airport for A-1 Glass Co.
