The Seattle Space Needle is seeking permission to add three viewing platforms around the observation deck at the 520-foot level, according to a June 1 report from the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce. The platforms would have glass walls and a glass floor so that people could look straight down. According to the article, the Seattle Space Needle could get permission to proceed with the project as early as next week.
