The Producer Price Index for construction materials rose 0.1 percent, not seasonally adjusted, for April, and is up 2.5 percent year-over-year, according to the May 14 edition of Data DIGest from the Association of General Contractors of America. The increase marks the smallest year-over-year increase since early 2009, according to the release. The PPI for construction products including copper and aluminum mill shapes declined in April; the diesel fuel PPI also fell 0.9 percent, according to the Data DIGest.
