Officials from United Architectural Metals say the company recouped the $1.2 million it was owed by Trainor Glass Co. for the Firekeepers Hotel & Event Center in Battlecreek, Mich. The bonding company for the project fully paid UAM what it was owed, according to company officials. United Architectural Metals was listed as the largest creditor in the Trainor Glass Co. Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings.
Trainor Glass ceased operations in February and filed for voluntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy on March 9. According to court documents, the company has between 1,000 and 5,000 creditors, and liabilities between $50 million and $100 million.
