Rolltech A/S to begin production in Denmark of Chromatech Ultra component

Production will begin in spring 2012 at theRolltech A/Splant in Hj?rring,Denmark, for theextrusion of special plastics required to manufacture the Chromatech Ultra hybrid warm-edge spacer. Made of stainless steel and specially processed plastic blends, the spacer profile ensures significant benefits in terms of thermal resistance and low-level solar heat gain, according to a release.

To meet increased demand in southern Europe for the product, Rolltech also launched production in Italy in 2011.

The move is part of Rolltech's decision to focus on the integration of its entire supply chain, according to a release. This first step toward the integration of all its production activities will not be an isolated event, according to company officials. Once it is in full operation, the extrusion line at the Hj?rring plantwill produce high quality profiles ready to be inserted directly in the Chromatech Ultra production line, thus cutting time and costs of transport and ensuring a more streamlined handling of the various phases of the production process, according to the release.
