AGNORA — also known as Architectural Glass North America —received$3.71 million in funding through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario. The money will help the Canadian company expand its production volume and architectural glass offerings, increase product quality and enhance the energy conservation properties of the products, according to an article in The Enterprise-Bulletin. AGNORA will also use the money to construct a research and development lab.
The Collingwood plant, while at full production, is only at about 50 percent of its capacity, said manager Jeff Wilkins, in the Enterprise-Bulletin article. As the company grows, plant officials anticipate the workforce could swell to around 150 in the next two or three years.
