Top Glass Fabricator Glasswerks Inc.has opened anew tempering facility in Easton, Pa. The plant is the fifth in Glasswerks’ Catalina Tempering family and the third Catalina location in the eastern United States, according to a Feb. 29 release.
“The location enables Catalina to expand our growing footprint in order to better serve our national customers, as well as provide a robust contingency interruption program that allows Catalina to service any eastern customer from any location – and still meet all of the customer-specific needs and requirements,” said Todd French, who was recently appointed eastern regional manager for Catalina Tempering.
The Pennsylvania plant marks the third greenfield project that French has opened for Catalina Tempering.In his new role, he oversees the Easton, Pa., plant, as well as the plant in Mount Airy and one in Utica, Ohio, according to the release.
Rob Schilling has been appointed general manager of the Pennsylvania plant. He has an extensive glass manufacturing background, with more than 18 years of experience in both float and residential markets, the release states.
