Grey Mountain Partners, through its wholly owned entity Hawkins Architectural Products, LLC, has acquired substantially all of the assets of the flat glass division of Hawkins Glass Wholesalers LLC, according to a Feb. 28 release.
Hawkins Architectural Products is a leading fabricator, seller and distributor of flat glass and acrylic products for the construction and glazing industries, with operations in Stafford, Va. It serves customers primarily located in the Mid-Atlantic.
“We are very excited about the addition of Hawkins Architectural Products to our growing presence in the architectural glass and metal fabrication space," said Beth Lesniak, vice president, Grey Mountain, in the release. "The acquisition allows us to continue to grow our footprint and better serve our customers by offering additional products from our other related companies. The Hawkins flat glass division has a strong reputation in its markets and has built long-standing customer relationships that we look forward to continuing to support and grow by offering quality products and superior customer service.”
In 2012, Grey Mountain also announced the purchases of Binswanger Enterprises, a designer, installer and retailer of architectural glass and aluminum products; Global Security Glazing, a manufacturer of institutional security, military, and custom architectural glass and glazing products; Custom Components Co., a manufacturer, fabricator and supplier of aluminum, stainless steel and glass architectural engineered products; and Columbia Commercial Building Products, a manufacturer of high-performance extruded aluminum windows and storefronts.
