Contract glazier ASI Ltd. suspended operations at its Whitestown, Ind., plant on Dec. 30, according to a same-day statement from the company. "Management is currently reviewing its financial viability moving forward," company officials said in the statement. "It is hopeful that we can re-commence operations sometime in the near future."
At least 250 jobs were terminated as a result of the suspension, according to a Dec. 30 article from The Indy Channel news.
ASI was ranked 8th in Glass Magazine's Top 50 Glaziers list in 2011, with sales between $50 million and $100 million.
