Mark Liston has been named president of Glass Doctor, following the recent resignation of Mark Dawson, according to a company release. Dawson, who is leaving to pursue other ventures, has been at Glass Doctor for more than 20 years, and president for the last six and a half of those years.
Liston has served as vice president at Glass Doctor for the past two years. He has more than 30 years of franchising management experience, and has also worked for Clockwork Home Services as vice president of sales and marketing, and at Valpak, as director of new franchise development. Liston serves as chairman on the Board of Governors for the International Franchise Association's Institute of Certified Franchise Executives program. He is also a member of Board of Trustees for IFA's Educational Foundation.
Michael Gai has been named vice president of operations for the company, following Liston's promotion to president. Gai has been the director of national account services for the past year. Before that, he owned the Glass Doctor of King & Pierce Counties franchise, the flagship shop in Seattle, Wash., for seven years. In those seven years, he grew the business from three mobile trucks to 18. Prior to that, Gai was President and CEO of A Sport Inc., a cross-seasonal sporting goods company manufacturer and distributor, and president and owner of Straight Line Watersports.
