Bystronic glass Group names new CEO, CMO

Effective Jan. 1, 2012, André Brütsch will become CEO of the Bystronic glass Group, succeeding Richard Jakob. Prior to this appointment, he was operative manager of parent company Bystronic Laser AG in Nieder?nz, Switzerland, where he managed the Operations Division since 2008.

Jakob, who managed the Bystronic glass Group since the beginning of 2007, will retire as CEO but will remain within the Bystronic glass Group management team, according to a release.

In addiiton, the Bystronic glass Group has appointed Dr. Frank Scholz to the newly created position of chief marketing officer. In this capacity, he also will become a member of the Bystronic glass Group management. Most recently, Dr. Scholz was managing director at a consulting company in Shanghai. He will become CMO effective Jan. 1.
