Guardian Industries was honored for its Building Energy Calculator, as well as its InGlass portfolio, with "editors' picks/honorable mention" Product Innovation Awards, according to a Nov. 17 release.
The Building Energy Calculator offers architects and other project specifiers a comprehensive tool to evaluate commercial glazing options and their impact on energy use and design. Users can perform energy analyses of various combinations of glazing products, including products from other manufacturers.
Guardian InGlass brings all of the company's interior glass under a single portfolio, providing the platform for designers to browse application ideas, evaluate options, select products, consult experts and purchase glass. It also connects designers with fabricators, glaziers and others to assist them in making their design concepts a reality, according to the release.
The PIAs are bestowed annually by Architectural Products Magazine.
