Virginia Glass Products opens Hiram, Ga., sales office; appoints new personnel

Virginia Glass Products, a subsidiary of Virginia Mirror Co.,has opened a sales office in Hiram, Ga., led by the team of Mike Wellborn, Sr.; Mike Wellborn, Jr.; and Jimmy Dean. The team will be responsible for sales of glass doors and entrances, custom tempered glass and shower doors, according to a release. Wellborn Sr. has been in the glass business for the past 28 years, the last 18 of which he spent with TGI-Atlanta. Prior to that, he spent 10 years with Arch Aluminum & Glass. Wellborn Jr. has spent the last 12 years with TGI in several roles, most recently in sales estimating. Jimmy Dean also comes from TGI, where he worked for 18 years in door sales.

Virginia Glass Products officials also announced the addition of Mike Dishmon as corporate sales manager for Virgina Glass Products and Virginia Mirror Co., Inc. He will be responsible for new business development, as well as hiring, training and leading the factory and independent sales rep teams. A 27-year glass industry veteran, Dishmon most recently worked at Vitro America in Greensboro, N.C., where he began his glass career in the contracting department, before moving up to production manager, outside sales, branch manager and, most recently, area manager.
