Former NGA board member Donald Francis McNabb passes away

Donald Francis McNabb, 80, died Friday, August 26. A member of the National Glass Association board of directors from 1991-1993, McNabb acquired sole ownership of Penn Allen Glass Co. and Berks Lehigh Glass in 1979, serving as president and chairman of the board until his retirement in 1995.

Active in the glass industry's professional associations, he served as chairman of the National Glaziers Apprenticeship Fund from 1979 to 1987, treasurer and vice president of the Flat Glass Marketing Association from 1988 to 1991, and as the first president of the Glass Association of North America from 1994 to 1996.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. thisFriday,Sept. 2.,at theChrist Lutheran Church, 1245 Hamilton St., Allentown, Pa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Don's memory to the Central PA Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Road, Altoona, PA 16602, or the Mulberry Public Library Building Fund, P.O. Box 707, Mulberry, FL 33860.
