Solaglas Installation, a division of the UK-based glazing company Solaglas, reported a surge in business following the recent riots in England, billingmore than the equivalent of two weeks worth ofwork in a 48-hour period, according to an Aug. 24 release.

“Hundreds of our customers were affected by the riots and we are pleased we were able to deliver swift, reliable service in what has been a very difficult time for them," said Darren Dickinson, service director, Solaglas Installation, in the release. “Our systems enabled us to identify each job related to the riots within our central database by customer. By activating our procedures for this type of event, we gave each customer a bespoke update each day so they could see exactly where we were with each of their affected sites in relation to their portfolio of properties,” he explained.

“Being part of the Saint-Gobain group, we work closely with our sister companies such as Jewson. Jewson opened two branches for us on Sunday, Aug. 7,in London, outside of normal working hours, enabling us to focus our efforts on deploying field engineers to affected sites without incurring delays and logistical challenges of gathering the required securing materials.”
