MGM Resorts International is seeking county approval to implode the Harmon tower, part of the CityCenter development in Las Vegas, according to an Aug. 16 article from the Wall Street Journal. The blue, glass-clad building has been wrought with construction-engineering problems—structural engineers recently questioned the tower's ability to withstand a serious earthquake, according to the article.
