Bekaert and Saint-Gobain signed an agreement Aug. 10 regarding the sale of Bekaert's Specialty Filmsbusiness to Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Corp., an Ohio-based corporation of the Saint-Gobain group. The transaction covers the production facilities in San Diego; Zulte, Belgium;and Suzhou, China; the operations under development in China; and all sales and service centers worldwide, according to an Aug. 10 Financial Post report. The deal involves all employees currently working in the Specialty Films platform, known as Solar Gard Specialty Films, according to the article.
