Officials of PCT Global announced Aug. 10that EnduroShield has been awarded certification from Germany's TüV Rheinland, a leading global independent test provider, for durability and easy-to-clean functionality. The durability test simulated a 10-year lifetime on interior and exterior applications, according to a company release.
"The TüV certification is an important achievement for EnduroShield and strengthens our position as a global leader in the industry," said Craig Howard, international managing director, EnduroShield, in the release.
EnduroShield is a clear liquid that is easily sprayed onto glass using a handheld spray gun or automated machine. It relies on nanotechnology to achieve a durable protective coating that is suitable for glass surfaces including shower doors, insulating glass units, curtain wall, glass railings and solar panels. The EnduroShield coating is provided with a 10-year limited warranty and does not require the use of specialist aftercare products to maintain performance, according to company officials.
EnduroShield recently partnered with Lisecto develop a fully automatic coating machine to efficiently apply the EnduroShield product. This machine can be integrated into existing manufacturing lines and is available in three different configurations depending on customer requirements.
