A structural engineer hired by MGM Resorts International has found that the 27-story, unfinished Harmon tower could collapse in a "code-level" earthquake, according to a July 11 article from the Las Vegas Review-Journal. According to the engineering firm, the Harmon, part of the Las Vegas CityCenter, has construction defects that cannot be temporarily or permanently repaired.
