Japan's Nippon Sheet Glass, parent of Pilkington, announced a pre-tax profit of $44.5 million for the year to March, after losing more than $820 million in 2009 and 2010.according to a May 13 article in the Liverpool Daily Post. Sales, however, were down 2 percent at about $7 billion, and officials warned of negative effects of the Japanese earthquake, according to the article.
