Gamma, the 40-year-old curtain wall, window wall and recladding company with headquarters in New York City, Miami and Quebec, announcedMay 10that it has merged with the Hong Kong-based Far East Global Group Limited. The Group has acquired a 55 percentequity interest in Gamma. The companies announced that the management and personnel of Gamma will be retained.
With 2010 revenues of approximately $110 million, Far East Global Group is one of the world's leading specialty engineering firms in curtain wall solutions with business presences in North America, South America, Asia, Greater China, as well as the Middle East, accordng to the release.
The company will operate under the Gamma name in North America and will continue to maintain operations in a number of North American cities, including New York, Miami and Quebec. Far East Global Group said it expects to increase the number of Gamma employees in the U.S. and Canada as business continues to develop.
With Far East Global Group, Gamma can now provide fabrication capabilities not only from its existing 250,000-square-foot facilities in Miami and Quebec, but also now from Far East Global Group's fabrication plant in China, where fabrication capacity is expected to exceed 1,500,000 square feet by mid-2012.
Operating as a division of Far East Global Group, Gamma will continue to be headed by Chairman of the Board of Directors Elliot Kracko.
