Officials of Custom Components Co.announced the award of a new project in Marina Del Rey, Calif. The $110 millionStella luxury apartment mixed-use housing project, developed by Merlone Geier Partners and GLJ Partners,will feature twomid-rises, consisting of 244 luxury apartment homes above 9,000 square feetof retail space and two levels of parking. In compliance with Los Angeles' green building ordinance, the project will be LEED certified, according to a May 3 release.
Stella's project team includes Santa Barbara-based architectural firm DesignARC and Arroyo Interior Design. The general contractor is GLJ Builders, the in-house construction company of GLJ Partners. Completion of the project is targeted for the fall of 2012.
Custom Components is furnishing and installing fascia and surface mount balcony glass railing and podium-level glass windscreens.
