Major Industries promotes David Nyseth to director of sales

Major Industries Inc., Wausau, Wis., promoted David Nyseth to director of sales, according to a recent release. In his new expanded role, he will spearhead architectural promotion of custom-engineered skylights and translucent curtain wall. He will recruit and train a dedicated architectural sales staff chartered to assist architects and other specifiers in the correct application of the company’s energy-efficient and environmentally friendly daylighting systems. In addition, he will take a lead role in the company’s new initiative to build its international presence over the next 3-5 years.

The director of sales and supporting staff -- field sales manager, architectural sales consultants, inside sales manager, and international sales manager -- are responsible for the training and development of outside contract representatives and international/ domestic dealers, as well as developing and strengthening relationships with specialty contractors and factory-approved installers. Nyseth worked as the national sales manager the last 4? years, according to the release.
