Officials of commercial window and door maker Traco Inc., Cranberry Township, Pa., said April 25that the company plans to hire about 280 full-time and seasonal workers at its manufacturing plant in anticipation of an improving economy and greater demand, according to an April 26 Pittsburgh Tribune-Review report.
About half of the workers hired will be full-time employees and about half will be full-time seasonal workers, the report quotes Kevin Lowery, a spokesman for parent company Alcoa, as saying. The plant will employ close to 900 people once the new workers are hired, Lowery said in the report.
