Favorable bankruptcy ruling for Vitro Packaging; Vitro Chemical, Fibers and Mining; and VVP Auto Glass

Officials at Vitro S.A.B. de C.V. announced April 12 that following a hearing in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas, orders for relief filed against certain of its subsidiaries, including Vitro Packaging, LLC, Vitro Chemical, Fibers and Mining, LLC and VVP Auto Glass, Inc. (collectively, the "subsidiaries"), have been denied. The court agreed with the subsidiaries, all of which are operating companies, that they are generally paying their debts as they come due, and therefore denied the petitions for relief. The petitions for relief filed against certain other non-operating subsidiaries remain pending, according to an April 12 release.
