The striking £1.8 million glass footbridge that will become Wolverhampton’s [U.K.] latest landmark was taking shape today [April 11].
A 150-foot-high crane gently lowered five 30-meter-long, 36-ton girders into place across Ring Road St David’s on Saturday [April 9] night, with work continuing tonight.
When complete, the bridge will link the city’s new £22.5 million bus station to the railway station and carry pedestrians almost 20 feet above the ring road, according to an April 11 Express & Star report.
