The U.S. government has granted $4.4 million to technology innovator3Mas part of the Department of Energy’s SunShot initiative, which aims to reduce the cost of photovoltaics by 75 percent.
The company said the investment will be made over a period of three years to accelerate the commercialisation of its ultra barrier solar film, according to a March 22 New Energy World Network report.
