GlasWeld, Bend, Ore., promoted Seth Schuepbach to director of operations, according to a Feb. 16 release. He was previously a business development manager with an emphasis in the automotive, fleet, and transportation markets. He brings a broad range of technical expertise to the position. He is a Navy veteran with service in the Western Pacific as a fire controlman specializing in shipboard warfare electronics. He graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in business administration and is currently working on his Master's in Business Administration degree through the same institution. Schuepbach has worked previously in diagnostics and manufacturing engineering for Planar Systems, owned his own flooring and commercial restoration business, and has spent time in a manufacturing environment as a production manager on the glaze line with Jeld-Wen.
As director of operations, Schuepbach will focus on developing strong relationships with key suppliers as well as streamlining and improving production processes, quality control, and inventory and warehouse operations.“I see tremendous opportunity with GlasWeld and look forward to developing close working relationships with our suppliers and business partners,” Schuepbach said in the release. “There is always an opportunity for process improvement and I look forward to making a positive impact in our daily operations.”
GlasWeld General Manager Dennis Garbutt said in the release, “Seth brings a wealth of knowledge, genuine enthusiasm and a ‘can do’ attitude that will really enhance our continually growing team of professionals.”
